Wild pigs

Need money? Shoot a wild pig.

Dpa reported that 50 wild pigs are on their way to Denmark. They have already swum across the Kanal connecting the East Sea with the North Sea and were only 50 km from Denmarks border. Nature freaks in Denmark are excited about the possible enrichment of the variation of species (Wild pigs died out in Denmark 200 years ago and can only be seen in Zoos). The danish association of pig breeders however is not so happy….(do they fear competition)….and offered 250 Euro to any hunter who would shoot one of the pigs for them. 250 Euro x 50…that´s a lot of money….

I think the story would give a great action Movie….Arnold Schwarzenegger or Mel Gibson in the role of the protector of Nature (kind of 21st century Tarzan) and Bruce Willis as the evil boss of the pig breeders….and of course one beautiful lady….could be a great script.

Summertime

Berlin in summer is great…who would not want to live in a city with dozens of lakes, thousands of street cafés, countless open air cinemas….full of bubbling life and sunshine…..after two days of it the weeks of rain are almost forgotten.

BERLIN IS GREAT!

God is love

God is love!
In the letter to the Corinthians Paul defines love.
This means he also defines what God, the father is like.
Found it fascinating to pray the words of this passage back to him:

Father, you are patient!
Father you are kind!
Father, you do not envy [by the way: who should God be envious off…who should we be envious off when we have all in Christ?!]
God, you do not boast!
God you are not proud!
God you are not rude!
Father you are

You are not easily angered!
You keep no record of wrongs!
Your heart rejoices not with evil, but rejoices with the truth!
You always protect
You always trust
you always hope
you always persevere
Father – you never fail!

WHAT A GOD WE KNOW!

Live

Live is cool!

Can´t believe this. Have been receiving all these prophetic – symbolic gifts in the past weeks:
– a real cool, huge disco ball – to symbolize the many facets of the body of Christ
– a set of huge numbers (the ones you use to teach kids how to count) – to symbolize the countdown for the coming breakthrough in my life
– a set of huge suitcases – to symbolize…I mean, what could they symbolize…..
And all of these were from people I do not even know. Just friends of friends.
God must be nuts. At least his people are! Crazy!

Monsoon Wedding

Went to see “Monsoon Wedding” (by Mira Nair) with a handful of friends last night. A colorful movie, jumping rapidly from deep seriousness to brilliant commedy. There was one scene where father Lalith gets to know that the rich “uncle” who had been so generous to his family had sexually abused his older foster daughter and molested the younger one, who is still a child. The older daughter refuses to go to the wedding as long as the uncle is there. The father persuades her to “keep face” for the sake
of the family unity, but then later rises to boldness: Neglecting social, family and cultural traditions and bondages He tells the uncle that he loves his daughters “and would protect them at all costs.” This scene deeply touched me, knowing that I was surrounded by people who like myself had at least once in their lives deeply longed for a father (physical or spiritual) who had stood up against abusive uncles and said: “You are leaving now. This is my son, my daughter! You are not going to harm her!”

Pigs

Going for a walk last night I ran into eight wild pigs. I mean – not the human version, but real ones. friend Glad my friend Rosemarie was with me to tell me this was normal. AH…okay?

Live gladly

“The greatest honor we can give Almighty God is to live gladly because of the knowlege of his love”. Julian of Norwich.
Cool guy. Lived in England some time ago (not God, Julian…

God still lives there, I think).
